Beautifully illustrated with well-written fairy stories

Shirley Barber is a well-known children's author, specialising in fairy stories. She is originally from the Channel islands between England and France, and this beautiful and picturesque island has obviously played a big influence in inspiring her.

The illustrations of fairy folk, i.e. pixies, elves, fairies are beautifully rendered in full-color. Ms Barber brings the world of the wee folk to life in a rich tapestry of colors. The stories are engaging and the audio CDs are an added bonus. Hint: I got this at a local bookstore for about four dollars. Now, that was a value buy indeed.

Freedom from Money

I have read over 40 books on money, and stewardship in the last 10 years, and this book was a breath of fresh air amongst them all. I highly recommend this book if you are needing to redeem your finances. It will put money in the proper perspective, its a tool. Its not a sin to be rich or poor. The "sin" comes in based upon what we do with what we've been given.

First off, if you are not a Christian, you WON'T get it or you will compound it to 'yah right'. If you are a Christian, YOU HAVE TO READ IT! This book is challenging me in many areas that deal with money but also in other areas too! If you really want to be free in your walk with God, you really, really, really need to read this. You will be challenged beyond your wildest dreams. And if you are not, then you need to read it again!

Wealth Riches & Money, God's Biblical Principles of Finance

I had read one-half of this book when I borrowed it from a library. Unfortunately I did not get it finished before having to return it. I felt the material was so important that I needed to own the book and be able to highlight material pertinent to myself. God is clear to us about what he wants us to do with what he gives us. If he can't trust us with small amounts, how can he trust us with riches. I am praying for wisdom and guidance on what I do with what he gives me from now on, and pray that I don't forget to put Him first.

Intro To Philosophy

I'm a college student and was required to buy this book (among several) for my Intro to Philosophy class. As soon as the semester was over I did what I always do: sell the text books back to the campus book store. As I went on to other classes I began to regret selling back this book. I'm a few weeks into "Humanities in Western Tradition I, and I'm currently reading just fragments of what can be found in this book. After I get done with an assignment, I want to read further and if I had kept this book I could do that. So I'm buying it again...for the last time.

He has substantial practice experience in health & social care including several years as an Approved Social Worker & Practice Teacher. He has a particular interest in mental health issues having been the professional lead for social care in the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust prior to joining the university.
